New Flyleaf album Memento Mori releases November 10, 2009

Memento Mori Flyleaf album cover
Flyleaf’s Memento Mori has a release date of November 10, 2009, which means their sophomore debut is nearly upon us!

The album is releasing in two separate editions, not including any extras you get from pre-ordering. The standard edition is a single disc with a whopping 14 tracks. The Deluxe Edition includes the same CD with 14 tracks but also includes a second CD with an additional 4 tracks, for a total of 18. Here is the breakdown.

2. Again
3. Chasm
4. Missing
5. This Close
6. The Kind
7. In The Dark
8. Set Apart This Dream
9. Swept Away
10. Tiny Heart
11. Melting (interlude)
12. Treasure

Not too hard to follow, eh? Well to make things a bit more confusing (not to mention disheartening for us old-timers who require a hard copy of all our albums), the best version is actually the iTunes digital version of the Deluxe Edition, because it contains THREE iTunes-exclusive tracks for those who pre-order. This raises the track total for the iTunes version of the Deluxe Edition of Memento Mori to a WHOPPING 21 tracks!

Personally I can’t WAIT to get the new album. I already have it pre-ordered and I’ll fill you guys in on all the various pre-order packages available in my next post.

But suffice it to say that this new album has been a LONG TIME in coming. I didn’t believe it was possible for a band to survive and reach such popularity using only a single debut album as a basis for FOUR YEARS before making another one. Seems insane to me. But they got to take their sweet time so I’m sure the new album will be great!
